Nurmagomedov knocked out an opponent in the first ever fight in the metaverse

Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov took part in the first ever boxing fight in the LegionFarm gamers’ metaverse. It is reported by REN TV.

The former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in lightweight knocked out the American Max Holloway. In total, during the fight, the Russian struck 98 blows to the opponent. Holloway managed to hit Nurmagomedov only 65 times.

The fighters could not play for themselves, since only the characters from the film “Rocky 4” are available in this metaverse. Therefore, Nurmagomedov played for Apollo Creed, and Holloway for Ivan Drago.

After the fight, Nurmagomedov admitted that he enjoyed the virtual fight. He noted that the future lies behind the metaverses.

Nurmagomedov left MMA after his third title defense in October 2020. Then he forced Justin Gaethje to surrender and kept the UFC lightweight belt.
