The drama of the fifth World Cup jumper. He will not take part in the large hill competition

. There was one change compared to the competition on the normal hill. The following were appointed: Piotr ¯y³a and Paweł Wąsek, who replaced Stefan Hula. It will be a debut for the jumper from 1999, who during his last training sessions showed four better jumps (out of six possible) than the 36-year-old Huli.

. Only in two series did the Pole find himself in the top ten. The Slovenes, on the other hand, presented an excellent form.

The great absentee – Anze Lanisek

A few days ago the Slovenes won the Olympic championship of mixed teams, and on Saturday they will compete for more medals. The team consists of Peter Prevc, fourth on the normal hill, Timi Zajc, Lovro Kos and Cene Prevc.

This means Anze Lanisek will not start. And there is no need to hide that before the Olympics in Beijing it was difficult to imagine such a scenario. In the end, Lanisek takes the fifth place in the overall World Cup. The Slovene scored 657 points – the most of his countrymen. In recent days, however, it has lost its form.

The teams for the competition on the large hill

Pius Paschke made his way into the German squad. At the hill in Zhangjiakou he turned out to be the best in the team of Stefan Horngacher and thus eliminated Stephan Leyhe, the runner-up from four years ago. The team also included Karl Geiger, Markus Eisenbichler and Constantin Schmid.

On the normal hill the best German turned out to be Schmid, who finished 11th. It was a sensation that Karl Geiger, the leader of the overall World Cup, took only 15th place. And Markus Eisenbichler, who was sixth in the general classification, did not even qualify for the final series.

. The German team was not even able to enter the second round of the mixes competition. This is another huge defeat of Stefan Horngacher.
