A criminal case was opened in Samara after ice fell on a woman. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Samara region.

“The Soviet Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Samara Region initiated a criminal case on the fact of injuring a local resident born in 1969 as a result of ice falling from the roof of an apartment building on the grounds of a crime under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements),” the report says.

According to investigators, on February 8 of this year, ice fell from a house on Svoboda Street onto a woman born in 1969 from the roof. The victim received a head injury. Investigators believe that the cause of the incident was “improper provision of services by the management company for cleaning the roof of the indicated house from snow and ice.”

There is no threat to the life and health of the woman.

Previously, similar cases occurred in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, and others. Children were among the victims.
