This Saturday, Everton hosted Watford and lost 5-2, in a game valid for the ninth round of the English Championship.
The game started out excited. With just three minutes of the ball rolling, Davies received it from Gray and pushed into the back of the net. However, the visitors evened the score ten minutes later, with a goal from Joshua King.
The hosts returned to stay in front of the scoreboard only in the second half. The Brazilian Richarlison scored with a fish, at 18. However, Watford reacted. At 33, Kucka tied the game. Two minutes later, King appeared again and scored the comeback goal. The forward also scored his third goal of the match, at 41. In stoppage time, Dennis scored the visitors’ fifth goal.
With the defeat, Everton dropped to eighth place and could lose more positions until the end of this round. Watford, even with the three points, is still fighting in the middle of the table.
The Liverpool team returns to the field next Monday, when they face Wolverhampton, away from home. Watford host Southampton on Saturday.
