Ten days after the discovery of four hanged inmates, the Litoral Penitentiary returned this Saturday to report the death of another group of detainees.
The prisoners were found hanged in ward 10, in an area designated for intimate visits.
One of the guards reported to the Police that he had found the inmates who had died from “suspension.”

The National Service of Comprehensive Attention to Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders of Ecuador confirmed around 10:30 that there were seven deaths.
The entity described it as a “presumed suicide”, as the case of last October 14 with the four hanged prisoners was handled.
