The Presidency of the Republic included the regions Ayacucho and Ucayali in the new policy for the massification of natural gas, in order to put this resource at the service of more Peruvian families and thus promote the development of productive activities in the benefited sectors. In this way, eight regions will benefit from this service.
This initiative will expand natural gas reserves to advance its overcrowding nationwide and aims to develop southern regions of the country such as Cusco, Puno, Apurimac, Arequipa, Moquegua, Tacna, Ayacucho and Ucayali. In addition, it will be awarded to multi-family homes, dining rooms, common pots, medical posts and other organizations.

As it is recalled, by means of a supreme resolution of the Council of Ministers, the creation of a multisectoral commission that depends on said entity was established and that “delivers a final report with proposals for the development of natural gas infrastructure that allows overcrowding in regions that do not have access to this resource, within the framework of the National Energy Policy of Peru 2010-2040 ″.
