The last days are an emotional roller coaster for On Saturday, the Polish woman was supposed to take part in the Winter Olympics in Beijing in the short track qualification on her crown distance of 500 meters. It did, but it did not take off, because just before the qualification started, it again received a positive test for coronavirus.
Maliszewska arrived in Beijing on January 27, and already on January 30 she had a positive result. Unfortunately, on Friday her result turned out to be positive, although two days earlier she had a negative result. So she could not take part in the competition. On Sunday (6.02) she finally had a negative test, so she could go back to training. But she was already broken.
– I don’t believe what’s going on yet. I don’t believe in anything yet. I’m glad to be here for training. I don’t believe it can all be done. I don’t know if somebody will turn me back and say that they were joking again -.
And she added: – The organizers did a good job. They came out perfectly with what they did to me, what I think, how it all looks like. Nights are difficult because I don’t know if I will have to go back to the Galaxy, the hotel. The first thing I do when I wake up is grab my phone thinking I’ll get a message that I’m positive again, or that I can’t go out to training or compete. It’s funny and on the other hand it’s terrible. I do not wish this to anyone.
But this is not the end of Maliszewska’s adventures
When it seemed that everything was starting to turn out to be straight, Maliszewska came across another surprise. The Polish woman published a report on Instagram in which she showed the conditions under which she had to change clothes. – The games are a joke of athletes – commented Piotr Majchrzak, a journalist at Sport.pl, about the whole situation.
When will we see Maliszewska on the track?
