City thrash Fulham to advance to FA Cup

This Saturday, the Manchester City hosted Fulham at the Etihad Stadium and won 4-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The hosts scared and opened the scoring just four minutes into the first half. However, at 13, City had already reversed the score. In the final stage, Mahrez shone, scored two goals and secured a quiet victory.

Now, Pep Guardiola’s men turn their attention to the Premier League. Next Wednesday, they face Brentford, at 16:45 (Brasília time). Fulham faces Millwall in the second division.

The game – The match got off to a rough start. At four, Fabio Carvalho feinted the mark and kicked with no chance for Steffen’s defense. However, two minutes later, Mahrez crossed for Gundogan, who equalized. The turning point came soon after. At 13, Stones took advantage of the corner kick and headed deep into the net.

Mahrez, eight minutes into the second half, extended City’s lead with a penalty kick. Four minutes later, the Algerian scored his second goal of the game, thus securing the victory.
