Athletic-Valencia and Rayo Vallecano-Betis, semifinals of the Copa del Rey

Athletic-Valencia and Rayo Vallecano-Betis are the semi-final matches of the Copa del Rey. The draw was made at 3:10 p.m. this Friday, one day after the Athletic Club overcome the quarter-final tie that faced Real Madrid (1-0).

The rojiblancos will play the first leg at San Mamés and the second leg at Mestalla. The first semi-final match will be played on February 9 and 10, while for the return it will be necessary to wait three weeks; will dispute the March 2 and 3 of 2022.

This round of semifinals will also have an important novelty; the goals in the opposite field will not have double value, something habitual in the eliminatory ones to two party.

The winners of these matches will play the final of the Copa del Rey 2022 at the Cartuja stadium, in Seville, next Saturday April 23rd.
