She noted that she rarely remembers winning the Games and now accepted the fact that she has two Olympic medals.
Zagitova shared that after winning the Olympics, she faced a lot of criticism. “I still wonder why the criticism is pouring in, because I didn’t do anything bad to these people. Moreover, they do not say all this in person, because they are afraid. I think these people have some complexes in their heads. I don’t know what drives them,” she said. The skater added that she always gets a lot of support from the fans, and this helps her cope with the negativity.
On January 3, Zagitova confirmed that she had not completed her career, but did not compete due to lack of physical fitness. The champion shared that she does not yet know if she will return to figure skating.
