Norwegians are afraid of Poles. “The biggest challenge for us will not be on the pitch”

During Tuesday’s match, as part of the last round of the group stage in handball between Germany and the team from beyond our western border, only 14 players were available. All because of infections that excluded several players from the competition.

Norwegians fear matches with Poland and Germany

Despite such a small number of players, Germany quite confidently won 30:23 and secured the first place in group D. The Polish team took second place, but both teams were sure of advancing to the next round of the tournament before the match.

In the main phase of the European Championship, Poland and Spain will also play against Spain, Russia, Norway and Sweden. Such a large number of infections in the German team, as well as Tuesday’s rivalry with Poland, made the staff of the Norwegian team fear the potential threat of infection.

No infections in the Norwegian syndrome

Thomas Torgaldsen, a Norwegian team physician, quoted by nettavisen.no, in an interview with the NTB agency said that so far none of the Norwegian countries has tested positive for. However, the upcoming matches of the main phase may be a threat.

– The biggest challenge for us will not be on the pitch, but during meals, which we will have at the same time and place as Poland – said Torgaldsen.

The duel of the Polish national team with Norway will take place on Thursday at 20:30. The match between the Scandinavian team and Germany will start exactly 24 hours later.
