Representing the interests of the fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko Nikita Burchak commented on the arrest of his manager Azamat Bostanov. The words are quoted by Sport24.
Burchak claims that the media mentioned the rape allegations solely because of the criminal record of the 40-year-old fighter. The representative of the Emelianenko team has not yet communicated with the detained Bostanov and does not know the details of what happened.
At the same time, Burchak is convinced that Bostanov did not commit violent acts against his girlfriend. “I know Azamat and his girlfriend – in fact, it was a family that aspired to something more, perhaps even a wedding,” he said.
On January 8, it was reported that Bostanov had been detained. The fighter’s manager faces accusations of raping and beating his girlfriend. In addition to Emelianenko, Bostanov also worked as a representative of Magomed Ismailov.
Emelianenko served time for rape from 2015 to 2016. The fighter was released on parole and resumed his sports career.
