Bomb in Conor McGregor’s bar. The Irishman was going to be a victim?

Conor McGregor was last seen in the Octagon in July at Gala 264 in Las Vegas. The Irishman then lost the rematch fight with Dustin Poirier. It was his second defeat with the American in a row, and the third one in total. The 34-year-old has been paired with several rivals since then, but it is still unknown when he will return to the sport.

Conor McGregor’s trouble? His pub in Dublin was attacked

For a long time, McGregor has also focused heavily on business activities, which is why he is often quite heavily criticized. He is accused of focusing more on taking care of his interests than on sports. His biggest venture was to create the popular whiskey brand “Proper No. Twelve”, but that’s not all. In 2019, the Irishman opened the pub “The Black Forge” in Dublin.

It was this place that was attacked during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. According to the Irish media, unknown assassins were to throw Molotov cocktails into the restaurant full of guests. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but McGregor will certainly suffer heavy losses. There were also two pipe bombs found nearby, according to the Daily Mail. This means that the whole situation could have ended much worse.

“The police are investigating an attempt to destroy the licensed premises on Drimnagh Road. No damage has been done to the premises. If someone has recordings from cameras in the area, the police asks for access to them,” we read.

The attackers were probably convinced that himself, who was organizing his birthday party there, would be present at the premises. Journalists report that one of the largest Irish gangs – the Kinahan Cartel – may be behind the attack.
