Bure called the plus of Rotenberg’s appointment as SKA coach

World champion and Olympic medalist as part of the Russian national hockey team Pavel Bure reacted to the appointment of Roman Rotenberg as the head coach of the SKA hockey club. His words are quoted by TASS.

Bure drew attention to the fact that Rotenberg has a victorious experience of working as a manager, because under him the Russian team won Olympic gold, and SKA won two Gagarin Cups. In his opinion, knowing the work of coaches and players from the inside will help a specialist to win. “He is a real hockey fan: he works day and night, every day he tries to learn something new,” the champion called Rotenberg plus.

The appointment of Roman Rotenberg as the head coach of SKA became known on January 4. Under his leadership, the team won two victories and lost once in the Kontinental Hockey League regular championship.

Roman Rotenberg is the son of billionaire Boris Rotenberg. He also holds the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vice President, General Director at SKA. Previously, Rotenberg Jr. had already acted as the acting head coach.
