Leça and Sporting enter the field this Tuesday, at 17:45 (Brasília time), for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The duel is a single game and, in case of a tie in regulation time, the decision will be in overtime. If the score remains the same, penalty kicks will be mandatory.
The match was moved to the Capital do Móvel stadium, in Paços de Ferreira, for security reasons. Leça’s coach, Luís Pinto, thinks that the command of the field will not interfere and the team will take all the strength to make a beautiful match.
“We are going to transport to Paços de Ferreira the possibilities we had at home. It will be extremely complicated, but it will not be the fact that we play in Leça or abroad that will make us lose hope. We will give everything for the game”, he assured, in a press conference.
In the round of 16, Leça tied with Paredes by 1 to 1 and had to solve the story in the maximum penalties.
Sporting overcame Casa Pia 2-1 and advanced in the competition. To play in the quarterfinals, the team does not have Gonçalo Inácio, who tested positive for Covid-19, and Jovane Cabral, recovering from an injury.
