Azuay wins three gold medals; Chimborazo and Loja, one each in the men’s test of the Nacional de Marcha | Other Sports | sports

Competition was held in the streets of Machala at 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 and 35,000 meters. Pichincha obtained four silver and two bronze medals.

The selection of males from Azuay won three gold and three bronze medals during the National Marching Championship made in Machala; Chimborazo Y Store they each reached first place.

In the medal table, in addition, Pichincha he hung four silver and two bronze medals; while Tungurahua he completed the picture by seizing a silver metal.

In the strongest test of the day, Brian Daniel Painted, from Azuay, became the winner of the 35,000 meters with a time of 2 hours, 32 minutes and 40 seconds; the second box was for Jonathan Javier Amores, from Pichincha, who for the distance timed 2 hours, 42 minutes and 58 seconds; while Gonzalo Antonio Bustán, from Pichincha, was third with a time of 2 hours, 45 minutes and 29 seconds.

More winners

On the day they also competed in the 20,000 meters. The lojano Jordy Rafael Jimenez broke the board by placing first, after setting the 1 hour, 26 minutes and 15 seconds record; the second position was occupied Jinson Octavio Calderón, from Pichincha, who needed 1 hour, 30 minutes and 19 seconds to reach the goal; while Bryan Fernando Muñoz, from Azuay, the bronze medal was hung after putting 1 hour, 37 minutes and 14 seconds.

In the 10,000 meters there were two winners: in the sub-20 category it was Saúl Eduardo Wamputsrik, and in the sub-18, Xavier Alejandro Guillermo, both from Azuay.

To arrive first, Wamputsrik needed 45 minutes, 15 seconds and 13 hundredths; while Terry Patricio Villacorte, from Tungurahua, who finished second, registered 46 minutes, 6 seconds and 3 hundredths; to leave Samuel Geovanni Aldas, from Azuay, as third with 47 minutes, 21 seconds and 24 hundredths.

For his part, Guillermo was the best of the 18-year-old series by timing 47 minutes; the second place was occupied Alex Mateo Sánchez, from Pichincha, with 47 minutes and 8 seconds; third place went to Ivan Darío Oña, from Pichincha, with 49 minutes and 17 seconds.

Finally, in the 5 kilometers the victory went to Érick Toaza, from Chimborazo, who stopped the clock at 25 minutes and 26 seconds; second place seized Derian Jair Robalino, from Pichincha, with 26 minutes and 56 seconds; settling in the third locker Juan Fernando Painted, from Azuay, with 27 minutes and 59 seconds.
