More than 1 million 700,000 Unique Labor Certificates were issued in 2021

During 2021, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), through its Jobs Peru portal, issued 1 million 744,780 unique labor certificates (CUL) for free, an official document that contains the police records, judicial, criminal and the identity validation of Reniec, as well as the educational trajectory and formal work experience of citizens.

Of this total, 998,271 people accessed the Unique Labor Certificate for Young People (Certijoven) and the remaining 746,509 processed the Unique Labor Certificate for Adults (Certiadulto).

Men were the ones who most requested the Unique Labor Certificate, reporting an average of 65%, while the rate of women was the other 35%.

The regions of Metropolitan Lima, Callao, Arequipa, La Libertad, Piura, Lambayeque and Áncash are the ones that register the highest number of requests to obtain the official document.

It is important to mention that all the information contained in the CUL, which was previously requested separately, is integrated into this document. In addition, now the beneficiary is offered the possibility of accessing it online and for free, which allows a saving of more than S / 100.

To obtain the CUL, which is valid for three months, those interested can enter the portal www.empleosperu.gob.pe, register or enter their account with their DNI. Then, you must select the option “Request your Unique Labor Certificate – Obtain Certificate” within the “More services” section. The Unique Labor Certificate can then be generated.

For this 2022 the issuance of 2,300,000 unique labor certificates is projected at the national level. Likewise, the National Employment Service will promote the presentation of a bill to extend the validity of the Single Labor Certificate for adults permanently, since it is currently in force until June 2022.
