League Commissioner Bill Daly commented on the information provided by Match TV, which announced the FHR’s plans to achieve admission of individual hockey players to the Olympics by agreement with clubs and international organizations. “Not a single league player with a valid contract will be able to take part in the Olympics. No exceptions are planned, ”Daly said.
Earlier it was reported that FHR sent Russian NHL players instructions according to which they could obtain admission to the Beijing Olympics. The Russian side is ready to take on the financial damage associated with a pause in the performances of players in the NHL.
