Polish club punished. Former soccer player complained to FIFA

The whole thing started when it turned out that the inhabitants of Łódź would not enter. The club’s cash desk did not receive the expected money from Canal Plus and problems with paying the salaries to the players began. And then Rygaard, but also Maciej Wolski and Michał Trąbka submitted applications to terminate the contract.

The president of ŁKS – – after some time he came to an agreement with Wolski and Trąbka. However, it was completely different with the Dane. He remained adamant that, due to the club’s insolvency, he could not concentrate on playing football.

In November last year, he terminated the contract with Rygaard, but the fault was on the side of the “employer”. Due to the fact that the player’s contract was valid until June 2024, the club had to pay his salary until he found a new club. And he found it, because at the end of the year he signed a contract with the Swedish BK Hacken.

It would seem that the case has found a happy ending. The club will have to keep paying the Danish if it turns out that he earns less in Sweden. You will then have to make up the pay gap until June 2024. Rygaard also decided to get overdue money from ŁKS. Therefore, he went with this trouble to. Journalists tipsbladet.dk report that their compatriot won the case. “I can confirm that the Danish Footballers’ Union is working to get this money back,” admitted the attacking midfielder.

Now the club from Lodz, in addition to a two-month salary, is to pay Mikkel Rygaard a bonus for the signature of the contract at the beginning of January 2021. If ŁKS delays with the payment of the awarded money, he may be punished by FIFA, for example by prohibiting transfers.
