Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov called the decision to resign Viktor Goncharenko from the post of head coach of Krasnodar nonsense. The functionary’s reaction is reported by Sport-Express.
“I don’t understand the logic of this decision. It turns out some kind of nonsense. The first part of the season is over, the team is playing average, but at the same time it is in fifth place. But Krasnodar plays football, there were no complaints about Gonachrenko, ”Koloskov said. He also refused to give guarantees that the club would perform better under the new coach.
Goncharenko’s resignation became known earlier on Wednesday, January 5. Krasnodar did not report the reasons for this decision.
The Belarusian specialist took over the team on April 6, 2021. In the first part of the Russian Premier League (RPL) season, the “townspeople” finished in fifth place.
