Russian skier Alexei Chervotkin won bronze in the mass start in the classic style at the third stage of the Tour de Ski. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.
The winner of the race was the Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo. He covered the distance of 15 kilometers in 41 minutes and 31.2 seconds. The Russian finished third, 23.7 seconds behind him. Finn Iivo Niskannen finished second, 20.8 seconds back.
Three more Russians finished in the top ten. Denis Spitsov became the fourth, Alexander Bolshunov – the fifth, and Ivan Yakimushkin – the ninth.
Earlier on January 3, Russian skier Natalya Nepryaeva won the mass start in the classic style. She covered the distance of ten kilometers in 29 minutes and 51.3 seconds.
The third stage of the “Tour de Ski” takes place in the Italian Val di Fiemme. It will end on January 4th with a freestyle mass start.
