Ecuadorian forward lost the final with Comunicaciones against Malacateco, who won the domestic title for the first time.
Mexican coach Roberto Hernández led the Malacateco team to conquer a historic title in Guatemala on Sunday, that of the Apertura 2021 tournament, by tying the second leg against Comunicaciones, scored without goals, by Ecuadorian striker Juan Luis Anangonó, whom he had defeated by 2-0 in the first leg.
Comunicaciones dominated the match played at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores stadium, in the Guatemalan capital, but without clear ideas to open the scoring. He lacked talent to break the defense of the Bulls.
Uruguayan William Coito raised a very offensive team and from the beginning had cornered the rival in his field of play in search of the score, but the Mexican Hernández’s club defended well and especially the Uruguayan goalkeeper Rubén Silva was attentive to the plays.

Communications took the initiative to discount in the final, but without being able to define. In the 36th minute Malacateco was about to go ahead on the scoreboard with a shot from Uruguayan Enzo Herrera who combed the ball with his right but Colombian José Corena saved the creams.

The tricolor appeared first at minute 9 with a header that went over the rival goal, then at 20 with a header that the rival goalkeeper caught.
