Rangnick defines Cavani’s future: “Definitely won’t let him go”

This Sunday, the acting coach of the Manchester United, Ralf Rangnick, gave a press conference and decided the future of Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, speculated on Corinthians. The coach said he will not let the striker leave the team until the end of the European season in June.

“He knows I will definitely not let him go. For me he is a very important player for the rest of the season. We’re still playing three competitions, so we’ll definitely need Edi. For me, of course, Edi has to stay”, pointed out the commander of Red Devils.

“He’s probably the only one who can play as a forward from the back and facing the goal. His professionalism and work ethic are simply incredible”, added the German.

Cavani, 34 years old, is linked to Manchester United until the 30th of June and can already sign a pre-contract with any other club. Last week, the athlete’s manager, Walter Guglielmone, revealed that he knows of Corinthians’ interest in relying on the player, but stated that there was no conversation about a possible salary.

This season, the center forward played ten matches, starting three of them, and scored two goals with the United shirt. Cavani also lost space in the team due to injuries, which kept him from playing in 14 games.
