West Ham defeats Crystal Palace and approaches the G4 in the Premier League

The first day of 2022 was a London duel for the English Championship. West Ham visited Crystal Palace for the 21st round of the competition. The match ended 3-2 for the hammers, who got even closer to the G4 of the table with the result.

The first goal of the game was scored by forward Michail Antonio, 22 minutes into the first half. Very shortly afterwards, the score was expanded to include a painting by Argentine Lanzini, at 25.

The shirt 10 dominated at the entrance of the area, and, with the ball suspended, got rid of the marking to, still without dropping, send strong and high, covering the goalkeeper. Before entering, the ball still touched the crossbar. A great goal.

Lanzini still scored one more at the turn off of the first stage. At 50 minutes, the player left his second in a penalty kick. In the final stage, Crystal Palace came back better and even decreased with Édouard, at 38, and Michael Olise, at 44, but they didn’t have the strength to draw.

With the victory, West Ham now has 34 points in the table, in fifth place, just one away from Arsenal, who opens the G4. Crystal Palace is well below, in 11th, with 23.

West Ham’s next commitment will be for the FA Cup. On the 9th, the team will host Leeds United at home, at 11 am (GMT). Crystal Palace, for the same competition, will have a derby against Millwall, at 9:45 am on Saturday.
