Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev said that he had overcome depression. The interview with the player was published by journalist Rome Abullyle on the social network X.

Rublev admitted that he was lost in himself for several years, did not see the purpose and meaning of life. “It is one thing when it lasts several months, but when it lasts many years, at some point it becomes unbearable. I took antidepressants for a year, at first it helped, but then it was not that it became worse, but something strange was happening. Therefore, I stopped taking them, ”he said.

The tennis player noted that he is not experiencing stress and anxiety now, he has no depression. “I am neutral: I’m not happy, but I am not bad. I found a support point, and this is a new beginning, ”Rublev shared.

On February 22, the Russian won the ATP 500 category tournament in Doha. In the final, Rublev defeated Briton Jack Draper.

Earlier, the ninth number of the world ranking spoke about the development of bipolar disorder and the use of antidepressants. “It will sound dramatic, but thoughts in my head were simply killed. I developed a bipolar disorder, ”said the tennis player.
