Mufti Krganov called the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games a spit in the face of the sane part of the world
The Mufti of Moscow and head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Albir Krganov, has criticized the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he said that modern Olympics, designed to unite nations and respect the diversity of cultures and religions, are increasingly becoming an arena for political and ideological manipulation.
“The West has once again demonstrated its sick ideology. This is disrespect for the cultural and religious values of all believers, and first and foremost, Christians. The Bible is a sacred book, and any mockery or parody of it is simply unacceptable,” the mufti emphasized. Krganov expressed bewilderment that such an act could be allowed, agreed upon, and shown to the entire planet.

Krganov added that respect for religious values should be at the forefront of every state. “And Russia in this regard is a wonderful example for the entire West. I really hope that here too the international community, and especially the organizers of future major sporting events, will take this into account and will not allow such incidents in the future,” he concluded.
The opening ceremony of the Olympics took place in Paris on July 26. The event caused a mixed reaction from the public.
