Brazilian footballer talks about how Russians have changed over the past 17 years

Guilherme stated that people in Russia are now more open than they were 17 years ago

Former goalkeeper of Moscow Lokomotiv, Brazilian Marinato Guilherme, in an interview with the YouTube channel Komment.Show, spoke about how people in Russia have changed over 17 years.

According to the footballer, when he first came to the country in 2007, people were very closed. “Now it’s a completely different generation – many Russians speak English,” the goalkeeper said.

Guilherme also noted that before, no one even tried to help him on the street. “Many times I asked: “How do I get to such and such an address?” And they immediately answered: “I don’t know.” But now everything is completely different,” the goalkeeper noted.

Guilherme played for Lokomotiv since 2007 and played 383 matches for the team. Together with the Railwaymen, the goalkeeper became the champion of Russia and a four-time winner of the Russian Cup. He also received Russian citizenship and played 19 matches for the national team.
