UFC Fighter Magomed Ankalaev Says Americans Are Kinder Than Russians
Russian UFC fighter Magomed Ankalaev, in an interview with Aslanbek Badaev’s YouTube channel, named the advantage of Americans over their compatriots.
The athlete said that Americans are kinder than Russians. “Everyone smiles at you, greets you when you come into the gym. There are no sideways glances. If you just look at someone, they immediately say hello, smile,” he said, adding that he felt respect for each other.
Ankalaev’s last fight in the UFC was in January 2024. He won the main fight of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night 234 tournament against Brazilian Johnny Walker. The fight took place in Las Vegas, USA, and ended with a knockout in the second round.
In total, 32-year-old Ankalaev has 18 wins and one loss. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw.
