Dynamo Makhachkala Wants to See Khabib Nurmagomedov on the Board of Directors
Former Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov may join the Russian Premier League (RPL) club Dynamo. This was stated by the president of the Makhachkala team, Gadzhi Gadzhiev, as reported by Sport-Express.
Dynamo wanted to see Nurmagomedov on the board of directors. “He can attend any match of our club not only as a guest, but also in any other status. First of all, it should be his desire, not our intention. We are ready to cooperate with him in any status. If he wants to help the club, no problem,” Gadzhiev noted.
Makhachkala Dynamo will play in the elite division of the Russian championship for the first time. The team received this right after taking second place in the last season of the Football National League (First League).
Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 of 29 professional mixed martial arts fights. After retiring, he took up coaching.
