Nottingham Forest, England, announced the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on Tuesday. The former Corinthians player signed a four-year contract and will remain at the English club until June 2028.
“I am very happy and honored to represent this club. Just seeing the stadium and feeling the energy inside it, I can’t wait to step onto the pitch to help Nottingham Forest win. My main goal is to become an important member of this team, a giant club in the history of football. I want a place in the museum like the others!”, said Carlos Miguel to the official Nottingham Forest website.

At the English club, Carlos Miguel will share the dressing room with defender Murillo, a former teammate at Timão, and midfielder Danilo, formerly of Palmeiras.
In an official statement, Corinthians confirmed that the Nottingham Forest paid the termination fee to have the goalkeeper. With that, the club should receive around R$23 million from the negotiation.
Carlos Miguel ends his time at Corinthians with 25 matches played, between 2021 and 2024. His longest streak was after Cássio’s departure, when he took over as the starting goalkeeper for the black and white team.
“Corinthians wishes the goalkeeper success in the continuation of his career,” wrote the São Paulo club in an official statement.
