These quotes by Jerzy Stuhr make viewers laugh until they cry. These are not only the lines of Commissioner Ryba and Donkey from “Shrek”

Jerzy Stuhr is dead. The outstanding actor died on July 9, and the sad news was announced to the media by the artist’s son, Maciej. The 77-year-old left behind an incredibly rich history of film and theater career. Many of Stuhr’s roles have gained cult status, and quotes from his characters have naturally passed from the screen into everyday conversations of fans of popular creations.

One of the most popular film roles is “Seksmisja” from 1983. The actor played the role of Maks Paradys in the film, who in 1991, together with Albert Starski (Olgierd Ɓukaszewicz), undergo hibernation as part of an experiment conducted by Professor Wiktor Kuppelweiser. After waking up, the characters find themselves in 2044, in a completely different reality.

Jerzy Stuhr is dead. The actor said many iconic lines

It was in “Sexmission” that many of today’s iconic quotes were uttered, which might not have been so well remembered if someone else had said them on screen. “I see darkness, I see darkness” – Stuhr shouted with emotion in one of the popular scenes. Apart from that, Maks’s most popular lines from “Sexmission” include: “A woman is beating me…”, “I won’t get up! I’ll just lie there!”, “I can’t stand it! Permanent surveillance! I can’t stand it!” and “So that a man can’t be in an elevator with a naked woman…”.

The role of the pinecone steward Kilkujadek, played by Stuhr in the film “Kingsajz” from 1987, was also quite popular. Machulski’s film told the story of a land called Szuflandia, where dwarves discover a potion that can enlarge them to human size. “Oh, you’re digging in a hole!”, “They grew bigger and their asses fell over. I was too good!” – Stuhr said on screen, and the quotes are still quoted today.

The most popular quotes by Jerzy Stuhr

The most lines that the audience naturally took from Stuhr’s character appeared in “Kiler”. The deceased actor played the role of Commissioner Ryba in two parts of the film. “This is Ryba, I’m calling you, Aquarium” – the policeman said over the radio, “What do you think, you smartass?! That you can make yourself a limited liability company out of the fifth commandment?!” – he addressed Kiler during interrogation, “A mistake? My wife meant the second mistake!” – he stated after one of the actions.

It is also thanks to Jerzy Stuhr that there is a group of people who claim that “Shrek” is a much better and funnier film in the Polish language version. The actor lent his voice to the phenomenal Donkey, who created a perfect duet with Shrek by Zbigniew Zamachowski.

Donkey’s lines are a veritable goldmine of quotes, which, although 23 years have passed since the premiere of the first part of the film, we repeat on many occasions. “Seriously, man, invest in some Tic-Tacs, because you’re going crazy!” – Donkey threw to the titular character at their first meeting. “Don’t die, Shrek! And if you see a long tunnel, don’t go towards the light!” – he begged when his companion was hit by an arrow. “Blue flower and thorns, blue flower and thorns, blue flower… It would be easier if I wasn’t colorblind! Blue flower and thorns… Blue…” – he repeated ad nauseam.

“Noooooo. I’m the same… Like a finger or something, a pile of problems grows, loneliness is a hard fate… be my friend” – he sang, irritating Shrek. Donkey’s enthusiasm was evident even when he had to just nod in agreement with his traveling companion. Anyone who happens to quickly answer questions with the words “seriously, seriously” can probably thank the character played by Stuhr for that.
