Portugal vs France: see information and where to watch the Euro Cup quarter-final clash

This Friday, Portugal and France will face each other in the quarter-finals of the European Championship. The ball starts rolling at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Volksparkstadion, in Hamburg.

Where to watch: the match will be broadcast on CazéTV.

Portugal advanced to the quarterfinals on penalties against Slovenia. The team’s standout performer was goalkeeper Diego Costa, who saved the Portuguese team both when the ball was rolling and during the penalty shootout.

Midfielder Bernardo Silva preached respect for France, especially given the opponent’s record in recent World Cups.

“It won’t be an easy match: it’s the quarter-finals. All the teams are here on merit because they are very strong teams. They are the eight best teams in Europe. And we’re going to play against a team that was world champion six years ago and that was in another World Cup final 18 months ago. It’s a team that’s used to these things, used to playing in the knockout stages. But we’re going to give it our all, with the aim of qualifying for the semi-finals, because we’re also a great team,” he said.

On the other hand, France struggled to beat Belgium 1-0. As such, Les Bleus have been criticized for their uninspired performances in the competition.

Striker Mbappé highlighted Portugal’s strength and predicts an open duel.

“They are a great team, so it will be tough. If they are here, it means they are one of the best teams in Europe. Details will be essential. I think it will be a game between the areas, really tactical. So we have to be ready and focused to reach the semi-final,” he said.

Whoever advances from this clash will face the winner of the duel between Germany and Spain in the semi-final.
