Al-Nassr eyes signing City’s Ederson and sends proposal to Brazilian

Goalkeeper Ederson, from Manchester Citycould be the next player to join Saudi football. The Brazilian is of interest to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr for next season and the club is preparing an offer to send to the English.

According to information from journalist César Luís Merlo, later published in several European newspapers, such as Sky Sportsfrom England, Al-Nassr contacted Ederson’s agent and offered a proposal of 50 million pounds (around R$ 354 million reais at the current exchange rate), for a two-year contract.

If the Brazilian goalkeeper gives the green light to what has been proposed, the Saudi club must prepare an official offer to send to Manchester City. Ederson has a contract with the current English champions until June 2026, that is, two more seasons.

Ederson suffered a facial injury in the final stretch of the English Championship and, therefore, is not with the Brazilian national team group in the United States, where the Copa América is taking place. Rafael, São Paulo’s goalkeeper, was called up by Dorival Junior to fill the vacancy.

An idol at Manchester City, the goalkeeper has defended the English team’s goal since the start of the 2017/2018 season. Since then, he has won the Premier League (6), the Champions League (1) and the Club World Cup (1).
