The Chancay Megaport will have its own customs office. According to Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzén, the Council of Ministers approved the modification of the regulations of organizations and functions of Sunat to operate from the terminal north of Lima.

“The Chancay customs office is incorporated into the Sunat organic structure, which due to its location, will be in the port and will handle customs services from there,” said the head of the PCM to the press.

According to estimates by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, 2% of customs revenues at the megaport will go to Chancay.

It should be added that the Chancay megaport will be inaugurated in November of this year with the presence of the President of China, Xi Jinping, within the framework of the APEC summit.
