Spaniard Marc Guiu was announced on Monday as Chelsea’s new signing. The Barcelona youth forward left Spain to sign a five-year contract with the London club.
“Since I was a kid I dreamed of playing in the Premier League. Now I will have that opportunity at Chelsea and I will do my best to help the club succeed,” Guiu said at his presentation at the Blues.

Chelsea have reportedly triggered the 18-year-old striker’s release clause, which was valued at six million euros (around R$36 million at the current exchange rate), according to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Guiu made his professional debut for Barcelona at the age of 17, scoring the winning goal against Athletic Bilbao in October 2023. In total, he has played seven games and scored two goals for the first team.
