– I didn’t take them seriously. I have been in this environment for a long time, so I know the media tricks of managers. They throw various rumors into the media to build their client’s position on the market. In addition, the trainer and people around him directly and firmly denied these rumors several times. Just the day before yesterday, his agent said it was bullshit and the Brazilian media were crazy to publish it.

– It’s definitely too early to talk about it. Of course, this will be our main area of interest in the coming days.
How do you evaluate the behavior of Paulo Sousa and his entourage?
– I was convinced that I dealt with professionals. But I guess I was wrong. You can’t do these things in the run-up to the preparation for the most important matches. I did not expect such a “gift” for Christmas.
