Romania topped Group E and advanced to the knockout stages of the European Football Championship
The Romanian national team played a draw with the national team of Slovakia in the third match of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, held in Germany. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place in Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park stadium and ended with a score of 1:1. In the 24th minute, the first goal was scored by Slovakian midfielder Ondrej Duda. In the 37th minute, midfielder Razvan Marin scored a penalty and equalized the score.
Thus, the national teams of Romania and Belgium advanced from Group E to the 1/8 finals of Euro 2024, taking first and second place, respectively. Slovakia retains its chances of qualifying from the group while awaiting the results of all matches. Ukraine took last place in the group and was eliminated from Euro 2024.
The 1/8 final matches will take place on June 29 and 30. They will start at 19:00 and 21:00 Moscow time.
