Belgium draws with Ukraine, guarantees qualification and faces France in the round of 16 of the European Championship

Ukraine, in turn, finished the group stage at the bottom – with the same four units, but with a negative balance of two goals. With the same score, Romania (1st place) and Slovakia (3rd place) also stamped their passport to the next phase.

In the round of 16 of the Euro Cup, Belgium and France will face each other, next Monday (1st), at 1pm (Brasília time).

In this Wednesday’s duel, Belgium had more possession of the ball, but was unable to convert their volume of play into balls in the net. In an open game, both teams ended the match with 11 shots.

The big chance of the duel came after a deep pass from De Bruyne to Lukaku, who, inside the area, finished weakly and was unable to direct the shot. Trubin, Ukraine’s goalkeeper, saved calmly.
