Lointek Gernika signs guard Taylor Mikesell for the 2024-25 season

Lointek Gernika Bizkaia has signed guard Taylor Mikesell for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the Basque club this Wednesday. Mikesell, 24, comes from the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA: “They have spoken to me excellently about the town, the club and its fans. I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and starting the season”she stated, after closing her signing, convinced that signing for Lointek Gernika was her best option to make the leap to Europe.
Coach Lucas Fernándezfor his part, highlighted that Mikesell has had no hesitation in joining the project: “We are convinced that she is going to be an offensive generator in the team. Above all, she stands out for her three-point shot in any situation, be it a direct block , indirect or hand in hand”, he stressed.
As Lointek Gernika has recalled, the team already has eleven confirmed players for the 2024-25 season: Itziar Ariztimuño, Kendra Chery, Marta Alberdi, Laura Westerik, Ane Olaeta, Maya Dodson, Irati Etxarri, Elena Buenavida, Awa Fam, Annika Soltau and Taylor Mikesell.
