Spain released this Wednesday the pre-list of athletes called up for the Paris Olympic Games. 22 players were called up by coach Santi Denia. However, four of them will be cut for the competition.

Barcelona and Atlรฉtico de Madrid are the teams with the most squads, with three each.
The athletes from the Catalan club who appear on the list are defenders Eric Garcรญa and Pau Cubarsรญ, as well as midfielder Fermรญn Lรณpez.
While the colchoneros players are goalkeeper Alejandro Iturbe, midfielder Pablo Barrios and striker Samu Omorodion.
On the other hand, Real Madrid had no players called up for the Olympics. The merengue club did not release any of its athletes for the competition.
Only three players over 23 years old can be registered. In the case of Spain, those called up were left-back Juan Miranda (Real Betis), winger Sergio Gรณmez (Manchester City) and striker Abel Ruiz (Braga).
The Paris Olympic Games begin on July 26th and run until August 11th. Because of this, the selected athletes must miss part of the pre-season at their respective clubs.
