French Federation confirms Mbappé’s nose fracture, but rules out immediate surgery

In a statement released last Monday night, the French Football Federation confirmed that striker Kylian Mbappé suffered a broken nose during the game against Austria in the European Championship. However, it has been reported that the French star will not undergo surgery immediately.

“Kylian Mbappé broke his nose and returned to the base of the French team. He will undergo treatment in the coming days, without undergoing immediate surgery. A mask will be made to allow the number 10 of the French team to consider resuming the competition after a dedicated period to treatment”, it was said.

The French entity did not specify Mbappé’s recovery time, but the tendency is for the star to be absent from the next Euro Cup match, against the Netherlands. The game is scheduled for next Friday, at 4pm (Brasília time).

The breaking point happened in the final stretch of the second half, when Mbappé collided with his opponent and had to leave the field with a heavily bleeding nose. He even tried to return, but was unable to stay.

On social media, in a joking tone, the number 10 of the French team asked for suggestions for masks to wear for the rest of the Euro Cup: “Any ideas for masks?”.
