Gundogan celebrates Germany’s victory in their Euro debut: “We played with a lot of intensity”

This Friday, Germany beat Scotland 5-1 in a game valid for the debut of Euro Cup. The match took place at the Allianz Arena, home of Bayern Munich. Gundogan, an experienced German player, celebrated the good start to the competition. The player, despite not having scored any goals, suffered a penalty in the second half, converted by Kai Havertz.

“We played with a lot of intensity from the start and had an incredibly good first half. It was exactly the start we needed. I already had a good feeling before the game and, thank God, that became reality,” said Gundogan.

Now, with the first three points, the German team, host of the international tournament, took the lead in Group A. The number 21, fundamental in creating plays, also celebrated his participation in the duel.

“I’m happy to have managed to be a game generator for my teammates,” concluded the Barcelona midfielder.

Another who spoke to the press after the defeat was striker Fullkrug, scorer of one of Germany’s five goals. The center forward, who stood out last season for Champions League runner-up Borussia Dortmund, highlighted the Germans’ concentration in the match.
