Remco Evenepoel wins the Critérium Dauphiné time trial, and is the new leader of the race

The Belgian cyclist of the team Soudal Quick-Step Remco Evenepoel ha cattle the fourth stage of the Critérium Dauphiné of 2024a 34.4 kilometer individual time trialand, furthermore, it is the new leader of the general classification of the career. Evenepoel has surpassed, in the stage, by 17 and 39 seconds, respectively, Joshua Tarling (INEOS Grenadiers) and Primoz Roglic (BORA-Hansgrohe)second and third classified in the time trial, and, in the general classification, has 33 seconds of advantage over Roglic and one minute and four seconds with respect to Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike). Oier Lazkano (Movistar) has had an excellent stage, in which he obtained fifth place, and occupies that same place in the general classification.
Evenepoel, in this context, has obtained his first victory since the serious fall he suffered in the Itzulia Basque Country, two months ago. The Belgian was the only one who was able to beat Tarling, who had been one of the first to complete the route, and he was awarded a very solid victory, which places him at the head of the favorites to win the 76th edition of the Critérium Dauphiné .
Among the Basque runners, in addition to the outstanding performance of Lazkano, the 24th place by Mikel Landa (Soudal)which has been located 19th overall2:38 from Evenepoel.
On Thursday, the fifth stage of the 2024 Critérium Dauphiné takes placebetween Amplepuis and Saint-Priest, with 167 kilometers of route.
