Kaprizov said that hockey players need to gain experience in Russia and go to the NHL
Russian Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, in an interview with the Super League YouTube channel, gave advice to hockey players who want to leave Russia.
The hockey player said that the young athlete should spend two or three seasons in Russia and gain experience, and then try his hand at the National Hockey League (NHL). “Everyone has his own path. Many examples can be given of those who came to America early, at the age of 15-16, through the junior leagues, to the draft, then to the minor leagues and then to the NHL,” the 27-year-old forward considered.
Kaprizov has been playing for Minnesota since 2020. In his debut season, he was recognized as the best rookie in the NHL.
Earlier, Russian striker and captain of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin appreciated the departure of Russian football players to European leagues. The hockey player supported the decision of domestic football players.
