Actor from “Letters to M.” convicted. Rafał I. will go to prison

Rafa³ I. known, among others, from “Letters to M.”, “Drogówka” or “Wojna polsko-ruska” will go to prison. The actor heard the verdict of the District Court in Olecko.

At the beginning of June, Rafał I. heard the court’s verdict, which stated that the actor was guilty of extorting a robbery that he committed three years ago. and refused to explain. Meanwhile, he was responsible for forcing his employee to sign a loan agreement without the specified amount.

Actor Rafał I. was sentenced to prison

According to Fakt.pl, Rafał I. was sentenced to a prison sentence of one and a half years. He had already been convicted – he had a suspended sentence for beating up the victim, from whom he forced him to sign a blank contract – so the court did not apply any additional mitigating circumstances this time, although it did not impose the highest penalty. A year and a half in prison is not everything – after the verdict becomes final, Rafał I. will have to pay the victim PLN 15,000 and will be banned from approaching her for five years. Rafał I. faced up to ten years in prison.

During the trial, which last year, he also appeared at the hearings. The men went to film sets together, where they received similar roles due to their stature. Rafał I. most often played third-line security guards and gangsters, Oświatiński gained greater recognition from episodic roles thanks to Patryk Vega. In December, Oświęciński said in an interview with “Super Express” that Rafał I. asked him for help and support:

Rafał and I know each other, so I told him “define who you want to be – whether an actor or a gangster.” There is no place for gangsters in the acting world, said Oświatiński.

Now he also spoke out after the verdict against his friend. “The court proved that even a recognizable actor, like this celebrity from Gołdap, cannot feel unpunished. This will be a good lesson in humility for Rafał, because he has clearly lost his way. He is facing the consequences for what he did,” Oświatiński summed up in an interview with “Fakt”.
