Altuna III and Laso compete this Sunday in the grand final of the Manomanista Championship

Jokin Altuna and Unai Laso will compete this Sunday at the Frontón Bizkaia in Bilbao grand final of the Manomanista Championship. The Navarrese pelota player achieved his first txapela in 2022, and now he wants the second. Altuna III, for its part, won the 2018 and 2021 finals.
Laso has completed a spectacular tournament, where he clearly won all his matches, including the match he played against Altuna in the quarter-final group (7-22). That was, precisely, the only game that the Guipuzcoan pelota player lost.
In the preview of the final, Laso acknowledged that he is “With confidence” ahead of Sunday’s match, but warned that it will be “a very tough game.” In that sense, he recalled that it will be “the fourth consecutive final” for Altuna and stressed that “that is not causality.”
The Amezketa pelota player, for his part, considers that “Laso is the big favorite” to take the txapela in this final, “because he has played better than me during the tournament and because he has obtained better results.” However, he was also convinced that he will have the opportunity, “if I focus on my game and am able to make good serves.”
The manomanista final can be seen live, starting at 5:15 p.m., on ETB1 and eitb.eus. Likewise, Euskadi Irratia and Radio Euskadi will broadcast live everything that happens at the Frontón Bizkaia.
