Last May, Monson said he had renounced his American citizenship. In 2016, the fighter became a citizen of the LPR. In May 2018, he received Russian citizenship. In addition, the fighter is an honorary citizen of Abkhazia.
The 53-year-old athlete is known for his performances in MMA. He scored 60 victories and 26 defeats in mixed martial arts.
