Bidasoa Irun qualified for the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey of handball after beat Caserío Ciudad Real by 43-28 in the playoffs quarter finals which was played at the Olivo Arena in Jaén.
The Gipuzkoa team left victory on track in the first half. By the 14th minute they had already achieved a 5 goal lead (10-5), and reached relegation with a favorable result of 23-13.
After the restart, the dominance of the Irun team increased. Ciudad Real was helpless in the face of its rival’s superiority, and in the end Bidasoa Irun won (43-28).
