Griezmann wants to play at the Paris Olympics: “It’s a dream”

Atlético de Madrid striker Griezmann revealed at a press conference with the French team that he wants to be on the team at the Paris Olympic Games, which start in August. However, the 33-year-old player highlighted that whoever will decide his participation in the event is the Spanish club, which at the moment is not very willing to release the athlete.

French Olympic team coach Thierry Henry will call up the team on June 3.

“It’s a dream (to go to the Games). So it’s the club who decides and, at the moment, they’re not very willing to do that. I want to do anything else, I just don’t want to pose a problem for my future at Atlético,” said Griezmann.

Amid rumors in the Spanish press that the player could leave Atlético, Griezmann reiterated his desire to remain at the Madrid club.

“I received offers, calls, but I want to continue. I tried hard to come back and be accepted again (after he left for Barcelona). It’s at Atlético that I want to end up in Europe, it’s a pride to be there”, concluded Griezmann.
