A FIFA delegation visits San Mamés and Reale Arena ahead of the 2030 World Cup

A delegation of FIFA accompanied by representatives of the candidacy for the FIFA World Cup 2030composed of Morocco, Spain and Portugal, visited this Wednesday San Mames and Reale Arena within the round of visits to stadiums that aspire to be World Cup venues, as reported by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Nicholas Rosenberg headed the representation of FIFA while María Tato, Jorge Mowinckel and Fernando Sanzas members of the Steering Committee of the candidacy representing the RFEF, acted as hosts to their colleagues.

The first visit was to the San Mamés stadium, venue last Saturday of the final of the Women’s Champions League. In the afternoon, the delegation moved to San Sebastián where representatives of the city council, the Royal Society and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa explained “the potential of a stadium that is in an incipient process of improvements after what was the “last major renovation carried out in 2019”.
